Eurodoc Annual Conference and General Meeting 2009

Since 2001, Eurodoc organises its Annual Conference and General Meeting in different European countries. In 2009 – for the first time in its history – Eurodoc brings its conference to one of the new member states of the European Union. The event will be hosted by Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, on 26–28 March 2009.

The event is jointly organised by the Asociácia doktorandov Slovenska and the Studentská komora Rady vysokých škol, the Slovak and Czech members of Eurodoc.

About the Event

Eurodoc organises its Annual Conference and General Meeting since 2001. This major gathering of doctoral candidates and junior researchers in Europe proved to be a great opportunity for anybody to learn young researchers’ views and share their own with them.

Eurodoc Annual Conference

Eurodoc Annual Conference aims to provide a framework for young European researchers to meet with other stakeholders in European Research and Higher Education Areas and to engage them in fruitful discussions. The 2009 edition of the conference will focus on the roles young researchers play in the knowledge-based economy. See the preliminary programme for more details.

General Meeting

General Meeting is the highest decision making body of Eurodoc. Apart from its regular and mandatory agenda which namely includes renewal of the Eurodoc Board, the 2009 General Meeting will also address the fact that Eurodoc grew to 32 members in recent years. See the General Meeting agenda for more information.
